Hello! Welcome to 7th grade math! I am VERY excited for the 2016-17 school year!!! It is my goal this year to help ALL students learn the 7th grade Minnesota Academic standards.
“I will NEVER leave you alone and I will never let you off the hook!”
What does that mean? You WILL complete every practice exercise, activity, assessment, and in an acceptable manner.
Here is a list of all the outcomes every student is expected to achieve during 7th grade math class.
This is a pretty generic list of topics that we will delve into more specifically. Some will take longer than others.
Curriculum used in 7th grade math: Glencoe Math, Built to the Common Core, Courses 2 & 3. This curriculum engages every students and helps build and develop a classroom of critical thinkers.
Things to bring to class EVERY day:
Math book/books
Binder and or folder
Pencils with erasers
Highlighter to correct with
Planner
Book to read (in case there is time at the end of the hour)
POSITIVE ATTITUDE!
Which one do you think is the most important? Circle it!
Through positive thinking, positive behaviors, and positive strategies, you will all be given ALL of the tools you need to be successful to prepare you for 8th grade math!
